Where to stay
The bride and groom have elected to stay in Monroe, WA over the weekend to be in close proximity to the venue.
If you would like to stay in the area as well, there are AirBnb, Vrbo, and hotel options in and around Monroe.
If you want to experience more of the city of Seattle over the weekend, there are plenty of options around the city. Capitol Hill, Wallingford, Queen Anne, and Fremont are all neighborhoods we love and would recommend staying in. Please be aware of the distance to the wedding venue, expect at least 45 minutes!
You could also split the distance and stay in between the two to try and experience the best of both, in which case you can look at Kenmore, or Woodinville (many local wineries)
Gas Works Park
One of our favorite parks! Lots of sentimental value as one of the first places we visited together. The former site of an oil plant, it has been converted to a public park that gives spectacular views of downtown Seattle, great during the day or night.
University of Washington Arboretum
A large nature preserve that served as a popular running route for Annie. Huge, beautiful grounds that is also educational.
Cornelly
Amazing pizza and pasta, along with seasonal appetizers highlighting local ingredients. Annie and Jonny go here frequently, and if you've visited them, you've likely been here already.
Analog Coffee
Our favorite coffee shop that happens to be close to our apartment. Home of amazing coffee and the best breakfast sandwich in Seattle.
